Nature comes to the aid of all abandonment, where everything is lacking, it gives itself back entirely, it blooms again and revives on all collapses; she has ivy for stones and love for men.
— Victor Hugo
Hi all,
Preparing for the return of my son who I haven’t seen since last September, I used my joker 🙂
Indeed, this painting was done in autumn when the vision of the past trembling leaves clinging desperately to the tops of the poplars, moves me every year.
These tiny feather dusters might just as well be spring, when the reluctant leaves, this time not to fall but to rise to the sky, take on their fine and fluffy colors. They begin with yellow-blue, then yellow-green, apple-green, and finally fir-green, to which everyone agrees.
The light is similar to that of those spring days in motion, but it is still cool.
The delicacy of tones and gradations of these two periods of the year, one for the fresh births, the other for the gentle decline, are both abundant sources for the painter.
Even in cities, nature is present, even if discreet it only asks to be looked at 🙂
Happy sunny weekend to all,
Yours truly,
Anne Turlais
